Bella Update (copied from an email sent by her mommy)
Bella continues to do
great! She’s running around like crazy and loves to play. She is still quite
kitten-like in her personality, I can’t help but to think she is finally living
her kitten days over, stronger and healthier – she is very curious and loves to
play, hunt and chase things. Her muscles have become quite strong and she’s
able to run and walk in a more upright position. She is very smart.
The three cats are
getting along much better, they chase and play with each other like cats do.
Once and awhile she and Gigi still have a stare down over a territory, but the
cool thing is to see Bella strong enough and independent enough to stand up to
Gigi. She’s even a little on the stubborn side. She doesn’t back down. Her
issues with the litter box have all gone away. It took a lot of trial and
error, but we figured it out. She hasn’t had an accident outside of the box
(for either pee or poop) in several months. : )
She is 13-14 lbs and this
has been stable. She still gets her wet food in the morning and this is
undoubtedly her favorite time of the day! She loves it so much, she starts
trying to wake us at 3:30 AM to get the day started!
She continues to love all
people…this is the same trait that Cleo has, and I attribute that to Happy
Endings. The work all of you put into each rescued cat through your
socialization program makes them such people friendly cats. Everyone who meets
these two cats just falls in love with them because they just adore all
people.
I think that says a lot
about your program and the volunteers that have the patience to work with each
cat to develop these skills in them. It’s why we are so impressed and remain
committed to supporting such a great organization. We continue to be amazed and
feel very blessed to share our lives and home with such unique and wonderful
animals!
